The Performancing Partners Ad Network has officially been up for a few days now. Nick, Chris, and the other P-Boys worked hard to get the network up, and they’re smooth out any wrinkles. If you want another revenue stream for your site, in the form of IAB standard 125×125 pixel graphic ads, check it out. A few sites already have purchased ads up. I’ll try to add some links in the comments of this post when I find some.
Unlike Text-Link-Ads, a site is not refused for any reason. However, auto-pricing is determined based on a number of factors including page impressions. So if you do not have enough impressions, the price field will remain grayed out until the estimated monthly impressions increase past a certain point. (Just a guess, but I think it’s 1,000.)
Prices are per ad per month, and will scale up if your impressions increase. But only if you leave auto-pricing (AP) on. If you leave AP on, pricing may readjust itself for a while, possibly even dropping on weekends - which is fairly normal for a lot of blogs. If you turn AP off, you can set your own prices. You have the ability turn down an ad, and because this is a “partnering” kind of effort, you have the ability to tell an advertiser why you turned the ad down (appropriateness, too low a price, etc.)
Because the ads are not contextually-based, the network is compatible with Google AdSense.
It’s a brand spanking new ad network, so more lowdown in the future. My sites are still low traffic because my efforts are on client sites. So I’m not sure when I’ll have “experience” information up here.
